Walking is more than ‘exercise’

“The brain is the only organ in the body that never stops developing and although it sounds extraordinary, an ordinary daily activity such as walking helps to keep it developing”.

I have always promoted Walking as a wonderful activity for the brain.  Walking, when easy, demonstrates how you can create harmony within  your whole self through action. When I walk I listen to the all the instruments in the orchestra; how my arms swing, my shoulders move, my hips move, my feet touch the ground and push off and how they all come together as one.

When a walk is ‘making music’, your strides are even and balanced with right and left working in harmony.  Your whole being including your  brain is being centered and ‘organized’.  It is always nice when our thoughts and feelings are supported as I felt with the following article.
