A Workshop using The Feldenkrais Method® is a unique opportunity to gain the experiential understanding of Dr. Feldenkrais’ highly effective approach to empowering and facilitating the potential of each human being. Through personally attending to your own movement, your self-image is refined, your sensory acuity is heightened, and your natural innate curiosity is evoked. As you expand your own potential for learning, growth and skillful action, you develop the means to facilitate this in others.
Recent participants of workshops in the Feldenkrais Method® have included educators, athletes, martial artists, physical and occupational therapists, massage therapists, doctors, actors, dancers, musicians, visual artists, engineers, computer programmers, lawyers, psychologists and many others looking for a new means to personal and professional transformation. http://www.efeld.com/ http://www.functionalrehab.com/about/sburkartJonathan Bassett: Understanding the Feldenkrais Method® Heightened body awareness aids efficiency of motion and freedom from pain http://physical-therapy.advanceweb.com/Article/Understanding-the-Feldenkrais-Methodreg.aspx “Now I can tell by putting my hands behind someone’s neck that these muscles are stiff and strained like springs, the others are soft and good muscles. Therefore I know how the person habitually turns to look and therefore I can bet one against a million that his left eye is the dominant eye. With that eye he sees and therefore he turns his head that way.” Moshe Feldenkrais, D.Sc. , Master Moves (p.92) TWO PROGRAMS that use concepts from The Feldenkrais Method: Sensory/Movement Awareness, THE MISSING LINK for Post Operative Therapy after knee or hip replacements (CEUS for FL PTs, OTs and other Rehabilitation providers) (See special page) TOUCH TO INFORM SEMINARS for educators and health care professionsals (with CEUS for FL LMTs) (see special Page)
